No longer just a schoolgirl staple, braids have made a comeback as the coolest hairdo to hero. Whether you have the event of the season coming up or just want to up the ante on your everyday style, it’s time to twist and shout about your new plaits.
What can yo u expect? You may know exactly what type of braid you’re after, or you may be less sure. Either way, I will greet you and talk you through your options. Once we both decided on the perfect plait, you can sit back and let me work their magic. First things first, I will prep your hair with a texturising product to give it some grip, before blow drying it and sectioning it off. A few twists, tugs and knots later, and your new style will be secured into place. A showering of hairspray and it’s going nowhere – but you sure are! The braidy lady shall go to the ball.
Know before you go Step away from the conditioner – dirty hair works best for braiding, as the texture will make it easier to style and stay put.
Box braids or cornrows. Bang on trend and so much fun, both box braids and cornrows are styles you should rock at least once in their lifetime! Granted, the actual process of getting your box braids or cornrows done is pretty time-consuming, depending on technique and braid size, but one look at your finished ‘do and I guarantee you’ll be in love!
Weaves. Loved by Beyonce and Tyra Banks to name but a few, a weave is a brilliant way to add length to your natural hair. I will either sew, interlock or bond your new tresses to your existing hair.
